Taxe de séjour
The city of Nîmes has introduced a tourist tax throughout its territory to help finance the development of tourism.
This applies to all paid accommodation, including that offered by private individuals, even on an occasional basis. As an accommodation provider, you must make a prior declaration to the mayor. This declaration can now be made online via the Declaloc platform.
On completion of your declaration, you will be assigned a unique accommodation number, which you can use to register your accommodation on online platforms, or to rent out directly.
Registration (prior declaration) of a furnished holiday home
Anyone offering a furnished tourist accommodation property for rent, whether classified or not, must first register it with the mayor of the commune where the property is located.
Since January 1, 2018, prior registration of furnished tourist accommodation in Nîmes, whether or not located in the renter's principal residence, has become mandatory.
The information required for the registration of furnished tourist accommodation includes :
- the identity, address and e-mail address of the renter,
- main address of the property,
- whether it is a primary or secondary residence,
- number of rooms and beds,
- classification level, if any.
The DéclaLoc registration teleservice, accessible here, replaces the existing cerfa.
This registration is free of charge
An acknowledgement of receipt including a registration number will be issued. This number must appear on all online platforms. The hirer then receives individual login details for accessing the https://nimes.taxesejour.fr/ platform and making monthly declarations.
