The Hôtel de Fontfroide is located in the old commercial district of Les Garrigues. Here, in the 18th century, craft production stood in stark contrast to the industrial textile industry in the north of the town. In this district, craftsmen's stalls naturally rubbed shoulders with middle-class residences.
