Church of Saint Perpetua

Historic sites and monuments

Nîmes

Located in Nîmes, in the heart of the Gard department and the picturesque Languedoc-Roussillon region, the church of Sainte-Perpétue et Sainte-Félicité is distinguished by its eclectic architecture, characteristic of the Second Empire period.

Its steeple, adorned with an imposing spire rising 71 metres above the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade, is topped by a majestic 8-metre wrought-iron cross, a 5-metre section of which is integrated directly into the structure of the spire. The interior of the church features a remarkably high nave, over 20 metres high, which contributes to the airy atmosphere of the place.
