Saint-Gilles

Built in the late 12th century, the abbey church is a true architectural gem.

Once a popular destination for pilgrims from all over the world, the monument is now listed as a World Heritage Site under the serial property "Les Chemins de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en France".

Take time to admire its sculpted façade, an authentic masterpiece of Romanesque art. It features a frieze dedicated to the Passion of Christ.

Discover the monumental crypt, a veritable lower church. Exceptional for its size and the quality of its vaults, it still contains the tomb of Saint Gilles.

The abbey is a Unesco World Heritage site.

Du 01/04 au 31/10 du lundi au samedi de 9h à 12h30 et de 14h à 18h30. Le dimanche de 10h à 12h30 et de 14h à 18h30.
Fermeture exceptionnelle le 1er mai.
Ouvert le dimanche matin uniquement lorsqu'il n'y a pas de messe.

Du 01/11 au 31/03 du lundi au samedi de 9h30 à 12h30 et de 14h à 17h30. Le dimanche de 14h à 17h30.
Fermetures exceptionnelles les 1er janvier et 25 décembre.
